Cognia

ABSS is a Cognia-accredited school. Cognia a nonprofit organization that holds the world’s largest education community of professionals aiming to help schools improve so that all learners have the opportunities they deserve.

By December 12, 2020, ABSS will be re-accredited by Cognia.

Cambridge International School

 

ABSS is accredited as a Cambridge International |School, where Cambridge Primary curriculum is implemented in Math, Science and English for elementary grade levels.

The curriculum sets clear learning objectives and focuses on developing knowledge and skills.

UNESCO

As a member in the UNESCO Associated Schools Network, we at ABSS, contribute to the development of innovative and creative educational activities.

ABSS promotes UNESCO values, integrates international perspectives in the school’s culture, and supports intercultural dialogue and sustainable development.

Microsoft Schools

As a Microsoft school, we work on integrating technology in teaching and learning to develop learners’ 21st century skills. ABSS staff received several Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Microsoft Innovative Expert Educators (MIEE) and Lebanese Innovative Educator (LIE).

ABSS is in the process of becoming certified as Microsoft Show Case School, to join global community of schools engaged in digital transformation to improve teaching and learning.

International School Award

ABSS is an ISA-accredited school for the academic year 2018-2021.

The International School Award (ISA) is a global accreditation granted by British Council to schools that work on adding the international dimension to teaching and learning by incorporating global citizenship into school’s culture. The ISA aims to raise students’ awareness about global issues through collaborative work with their counterparts in other countries. The International School Award provides a framework for recognizing schools that support whole-school projects leading to school improvement and enriching education through international work.

Green School Award

ABSS received the “Green School Award” in 2019. It is granted by Bank Med to schools in recognition of their outstanding green contributions and efforts in their school community.

The competition, which more than 200 schools and over 1,000 students participated in, promotes creativity and innovation among the youth.
