Our program encourages responsibility, resilience, and a lifelong passion for learning while fostering personal growth and leadership.</strong></p><p><strong>Serving Grade 7, the Intermediate Department provides a supportive and engaging learning environment that prepares students for success in secondary education and beyond. Through rigorous academics, innovative teaching practices, and meaningful learning experiences, students are empowered to achieve their full potential.</strong></p><p><strong>ABSS offers the Lebanese National Program, welcoming both Lebanese and international students. Mathematics and science are taught in English, while English and Arabic serve as core languages. French is offered as a second language, and history, geography, and civics are taught in Arabic. By integrating academic excellence with technology, leadership opportunities, and student-centered learning, ABSS equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.</strong></p>

<p>At ABSS Kindergarten, the early years are the cornerstone of lifelong learning. Our program blends play-based learning with academic readiness across cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and linguistic domains.</p> <p><strong>English as a Second Language (ESL)</strong> — A language-rich environment where children develop English through songs, stories, conversations, and interactive activities.</p> <p><strong>French as a third language</strong> — Enjoyable lessons, games, and songs that build early communication skills and cultural awareness.</p> <p><strong>STEM</strong> — Age-appropriate exploration that sparks curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.</p> <p><strong>SEL &amp; character</strong> — Emotional intelligence, empathy, teamwork, kindness, honesty, respect, and responsibility.</p> <p><strong>Advocacy</strong> — Activities that help children express ideas, understand rights, and respect others’ perspectives.</p> <p><strong>Islamic Studies</strong> — Qur’an, the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and Islamic ethics that nurture compassion and good character.</p>

Elementary (Grades 1–6)

<p>Elementary education at ABSS shapes academic foundations and personal growth. We nurture reading, writing, and mathematics while fostering creativity, character, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and social-emotional wellbeing.</p> <p>The Elementary Department offers a six-year program (Grades 1–6). Students follow the <strong>Lebanese Program</strong>, available to Lebanese students and to non-Lebanese students who choose it. Core subjects including Mathematics and Science are taught in English. Arabic and English are the main languages of instruction; French is taught as a second language. History, Geography, and Civics are delivered in Arabic.</p> <p>As a Cambridge International School, ABSS integrates global learning standards with national requirements. Teaching emphasizes Differentiated Instruction and a child-centered approach — inquiry, collaboration, and independent thinking — so every learner feels valued and reaches their full potential.</p>

STEAM Education

At ABSS, weekly STEAM from Kindergarten to Grade 6 integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Students build with Arduino, Micro:bit, and STEM kits — and shine in Do Your Bit, Science Fair, and STEM Fair.
